How do data silos decrease data credibility?

The activities of data silos in an organisation can lead to compromise of data and information because one cannot trust a particular set of information in the custody of a single compartment. But if the whole organisation is working as a united team in the bid to achieve the overall objectives of the organisation, they will have one voice and whatever information they present will prove to have sustainable credibility. Data silos usually work in isolation from the other compartments in the organisation, they do not share most of the information they have, hence it is commonly difficult to ascertain whether their information is authentic or not.
