Hi there everyone. I was wondering if someone could help me improve my understanding of data governance. What is federated data governance? And what are some of its pros and cons?

Federated data governance (FDG) is a data management approach designed to help companies manage their data as a whole. FDG is an umbrella term for different approaches to data management, including federated data repositories and federated data lakes. To sum it up, it is a collaboration between centralized functions of data governance and information domain teams to fulfill the organization's data requirements.
