Can I include both indexed and unindexed data when I run an enterprise search
Asked 3 years ago
I require a method for thoroughly searching my database for critical business documents. I recently began using enterprise search to obtain a wide range of results. I've been using indexed search to improve my search performance by using defined filters. However, I suspect this isn't returning all the results from my databases and repositories. Can I combine indexed and unindexed searches in an enterprise search setting?

Yes! You can. Both indexed and unindexed data have their places inside an enterprise search. When you run an enterprise search, the results are displayed in a list and are sorted by relevance. When looking for specific information, you can filter through the results using Boolean and/or/not search expressions.
