Can an effective KM system help new hires find info timeously?
Asked 3 years ago
We have started improving different processes within our organization, and we have been discussing how we would improve the training and onboarding process. Our company started incorporating the knowledge management approach, and we want to make sure every employee, new and old, can benefit from it. I’m wondering if KM can also reduce the time that it takes for new hires to become competent in their roles by giving them access to all the information they may need.

An effective KM system ensures that all the stored information is easily accessible to every employee. Both fresh and existing employees can simultaneously get their hands on the resources and benefit from them. With an efficient knowledge management approach, the new employees get all the information they need to know. Hence, they can familiarize themselves quickly with the organization and its processes.
