Should I foster a psychological safe space for my virtual teammates?

Building trust within the organization is integral to the success of my business. With our team being virtual, a sense of trust is needed to be comfortable sharing information with virtual team members. The absence of personal interaction is creating a gap in my team, which is preventing the comfortable sharing of knowledge and learning points.

Managers must create a healthy working environment where employees feel comfortable sharing their thoughts and ideas. The fright of being judged or criticized by other team members should be eliminated at all levels. It means creating a physiological safe space using virtual polls, breakout groups, and chat rooms. You can also hold virtual meetings from time to time so that everyone in the team knows each other and build that sense of connectivity.
