Will I get inaccurate results if I mistype a search query with low fuzzy search settings on?
Asked 3 years ago
I've been learning how to enter and archive large amounts of customer data in my company's repository. I used enterprise search to include search results with typos, but my results were inconsistent. To reduce slow results, I activated and set fuzzy search to low in my enterprise search tool. Will I continue to get inaccurate results if I use fuzzy search too frequently?

With low fuzzy search settings enabled, you will get accurate results even if you mistype a search query. It is because when a query is entered into the search bar, it is immediately re-ranked by a set of rules based on its similarity to other search queries. The results will be based on the best matches for your query. This ranking system helps minimize typos and misspellings' effect on your search results and provides better search results.
