What does a cloud project manager do?

The role of a cloud project manager is not actually that different to a normal project management role.

Cloud project management differs from normal project management in name only. Project management requirement remain the same however a cloud solution usually comprises of a series of working parts across networks, applications, infrastructure, data and outsourcing.

The core skillsets of project management still apply, an understanding of the full end-to-end project, creation of project plans and estimates and ensuring that scoping, resourcing, reporting and deployment activities are all monitored, managed and documented.



Any experienced project manager should be able to apply the standard project management methodologies to a cloud project.
