What type of account do you need to access Google Admin console?

Asked 2 years ago

My organization uses Google Workspace (namely Google Calendar, Sheets, Forms, and Docs) so we can work in a collaborative and sharing environment. Because of my position in the organization, I need access to Google Admin console so I can manage accounts and do Group Admin. If I have my regular work Gmail account, will this be enough to access Google Admin console?

The Admin console is where administrators oversee Google services for other people/personnel in a company. The Admin console is only accessible when logged into an administrator account. An admin account does not end in "gmail.com." If you have a Gmail ID that ends in something like "@xyzcorp.com", you can easily access your Google Admin console through it.

If you don't have an administrator account, ask for help from another person who does. You came across multiple Google accounts on the sign-in page, so make sure you pick your administrator account to access the Google Admin console.
