Should I do background checks when I outsource business activity?
Asked 3 years ago
I have a few business functions that I outsource, simply because it is easier and cheaper to do so in some cases. I am worried about the potential risk of having business knowledge being improperly used or losing skills that are needed to conduct central knowledge operations. To avoid the success of the outsourcing activities, do I need to do background checks?

Conducting a background check is a good practice to clear your stipulations. It helps ensure that you hire a legit candidate with a good market reputation. Companies that neglect the importance of background checks risk missing pertinent information regarding their potential employees. Hence, they may go with an unsuitable option that could lead to legal issues down the road.
