What are the benefits of nested Figma components?

I'm trying to understand and work with all the tools Figma has to offer. My website has a lot of files and buttons that I am struggling to maintain now. I’ve been looking for a way to manage some of my other designs for the projects that I’ve been working on. I have heard about nested components, but I’m not sure what advantage they have. Can someone please elaborate?
