Can I use a component inside of a component in Figma?

There are instances of various icons that I need to swap out for different ones from the shared team library. However, I don’t know if I should swap them out or if I can just put my master component inside the other one. How do you put a component into another component in Figma?

It is possible to use a component inside another component in Figma. However, the main instance of a component can never be inside another component. For that reason, inserting a master component inside another component is impossible. That's how Figma works! Instead of using the master component, make a copy and move it inside the card group or other component. You can place smaller components like buttons and icons inside bigger components like cards, overlays, and modals.
