How can I detach components in Figma?

Hi, a lot of the changes I need to make in Figma aren't supported by overrides. I created components and variants, and now I can’t detach them. Is there a way to undo the action? Any help would be appreciated.

Well, the solution is here now! You only need to install a Figma plugin, "Detach components" by Patrick Morgan. This plugin can detach your components and variants just as you do with your instances. Detach Components also allows you to detach multiple components and variant sets. Best of all, the instances within the components remain untouched during this process.
